This stylish cutting board is made from purpleheart, a beautiful and heavy hardwood that hails from South America. Purpleheart is easily recognizable due to its distinctive, deep purple colour. This board has been created using the end grain technique. By using this technique we create an effect that shows the short grain of the wood in a plaid-like, butcher block pattern.
While the primary intention for this board is to provide you with a beautiful surface upon which to cut fruits, cheese, bread and vegetables, these boards need not only be kept in the kitchen. It also can be used as a presentation platter to create the perfect platform to showcase your appetisers, tapas, dim sum, cheese, fruit, keepsake or any other item you wish to proudly display and will complement traditional and modern décor and tablescapes. Each board is made with pride, precision and love and is carefully sanded to mirror smoothness by True Woodwork. Afterwards, as part of the finishing process, the board was treated to a bath in food grade mineral oil and then polished with all natural beeswax.
The underside of each board is protected from damage by rubber feet, which surround the True Woodwork logo.
