Made from afzelia or Doussie, a beautiful wood from Africa and south east Asia, this board has a beautiful deep orange brown surface. If you look closely, you will see the beautiful butcher block pattern with its characteristic swirls.
While the primary intention for this board is to provide you with a beautiful surface upon which to cut fruits, cheese, bread and vegetables, these boards need not only be kept in the kitchen. It also can be used as a presentation platter to create the perfect platform to showcase your appetisers, tapas, dim sum, cheese, fruit, keepsake or any other item you wish to proudly display and will complement traditional and modern décor and tablescapes. Each board is made with pride, precision and love and is carefully sanded to mirror smoothness by True Woodwork. Afterwards, as part of the finishing process, the board was treated to a bath in food grade mineral oil and then polished with all natural beeswax.
The underside of each board is protected from damage by rubber feet, which surround the True Woodwork logo.
